Jewels of the Adriatic Gulet Cruise

£849 per person
The tranquil bays of Montenegro and stunning Adriatic coastlines are the stars of this circular gulet cruise that takes in the best of Montenegro. The Bay of Kotor unfolds like a magical world all of its own, where the towns and villages retain the architecture and spirit of the past wealthy Venetian trading empire.
The beautiful coastline offers an array of hidden bays, medieval Old Towns, warm tranquil waters for
swimming and snorkelling opportunities. Aboard our 25m traditional mahogany and teak wood sailing gulet, named the 'Patronice', you will enjoy a holiday to remember. This beautiful six cabin vessel is fully equipped to sail on the open Adriatic at every available opportunity. As well as visiting beautiful towns and villages there is plenty to do on board - swimming, kayaking, snorkelling, fishing or just laying on the deck and soaking up the sun.
The three-person Montenegrin crew have the knowledge and expertise to ensure you have a safe and
enjoyable holiday. They love inviting guests on-board to share their passion and pride for this beautiful part of the world. The on-board cook serves a delicious breakfast and lunch each day, with evenings spent exploring your port of call or enjoying a drink from the boat’s bar.

Cruise Map:

7 nights | Sunday to Sunday | Half board | Tivat to Tivat | 8th May - 25th September | Montenegro
Sunday – Tivat -At anchor for Embarkation and first night
Your adventure begins in Pine, the southern end of the long promenade of Tivat and Porto Montenegro. The Porto Montenegro marina is home to the super rich, and walking amongst the mega yachts you’ll be forgiven for thinking you’re in Monte Carlo. We will be mooring for the night in Pine at the town of Tivat. If you’ve had enough of rubbing shoulders with oligarchs you can take a short stroll into the town of Tivat, where you can enjoy the café culture Tivat is famed for and do some people watching
  • Overnight on-board in Tivat
  • Dinner on-board included.
Monday – Budva
We will leave the fjord-like calm of Kotor Bay and sail out into the Adriatic Sea, cruising along the verdant shoreline of the Lustica Peninsula and heading down to Budva. The Budva Riviera offers, history culture, amazing scenery and some of the best beaches Montenegro has to offer. You can spend the evening exploring the walled old town, or if you fancy a livelier evening Budva is renowned for its nightlife. Budva really does have something to suit all tastes, whether that be cultural delights or drum and bass!
  • Overnight on-board in Budva
  • Breakfast and lunch on-board included.
Tuesday – Petrovac
We now head south to Petrovac, the most Southerly point of this cruise. Petrovac with its horseshoe bay and sandy beach started life as a fishing village and now is one of the fastest growing towns in the region. After a day spent exploring or sitting on the beach, we will head up to Sveti Stefan for the evening. We can take you ashore to visit this famous tidal island. This is one of Montenegro's landmark town and a must see for any visitor
  • Overnight on-board in Petrovac
  • Breakfast and lunch on-board included
Wednesday – Bigova
For those who enjoy swimming or snorkelling in calm, warm crystal-clear waters, Plavi Horizonti beach has to be on your list. Spend the afternoon exploring the coves, walking along the unspoilt coastline of Lustica or flopping out on the beach. We will pick you up later in the afternoon and cruise to the quaint fishing village of Bigova, with its pebble beach and choice of restaurants. We will be at the dock for the evening in the most relaxing and calm location.
  • Overnight on-board in Bigova
  • Breakfast and lunch on-board included.
Thursday – Herceg Novi - Dubrovnik tour
We’re leaving the open Adriatic to head back into the Bay of Kotor and its northernmost major town, Herceg Novi. This historic town is a treasure trove of architectural delights, with its famous town square and a 5km long promenade. An optional Dubrovnik tour takes approximately 4 hours, however those staying in Herceg Novi will have a plethora of things to keep them entertained, including the ‘steps’ & the walls of Forte Mare.
  • Overnight on-board in Herceg Novi
  • Breakfast and lunch
Friday – Kotor
We head across the bay to Male Rose - Pristan, a picturesque fishing village at the entrance to the bay. We will then follow the deserted coastline of Klinci for a slow-paced afternoon spent swimming and visiting St Marko Island and its monastery. We then travel to Montenegro's most famous town, Kotor. Kotor is a splendour and after you have had your fill of walking the narrow cobbled maze-like streets, you can return to the gulet and view its ancient walls
  • Overnight on-board in Kotor
  • Breakfast and dinner on-board included
Saturday – Perast
We will have a leisurely start to the day and slowly sail to Risan where you will be able to visit the famous Roman mosaics. After our stop at Risan we head to Perast. You get a sense of the historical importance of this hidden gem with monasteries, museums and stunning architecture which tells the story of this small towns past wealth and importance. There is a good choice of waterfront restaurants to enjoy traditional culinary delights and with its no car rule, it is a great place to take an after-dinner stroll.
  • Breakfast and lunch on-board
Sunday – Tivat at dock for disembarkation
Alas, all good things must come to an end, and after an early breakfast we’ll take a quick cruise to Tivat where you will disembark, hopefully with memories that will live with you forever. With the wonderful locations on this cruise, I am sure that you will agree with us that Montenegro really is the Jewel of the Adriatic and once you fall in love with this small, still relatively undiscovered country you’ll be planning your return visit soon.
  • Breakfast on-board on departure
